Mission A1 is a 3D open world macOS game, where players get to not only explore the map, but also various mechanics by playing 8 different mini games with its own sets of rules, the game is also accommodated with a compelling story written by our Project Manager, Daniel Widjaja.

As the Tech Lead, I successfully led two other Engineers, Nuki Venoza and Michael Christopher, in developing this game using Unity and Xcode.

Throughout the process, I honed my decision-making skills in terms of choosing the appropriate coding workflow, problem-solving during my coding experience in developing 4 of the 8 mini-games, and not to mention, I was also able to foster my teamwork and collaboration skills.

As this was my first time working with Unity, my coding adaptability was put to the test. Fortunately, we as a team were able to deliver an Alpha version of the game, where players could play the game from start to finish.

I realize that the game is still far away from perfect, as we weren’t able to do multiple iterations of playtesting on the game, hence player’s experience on the game might still not be optimal. However, I am still proud to be able to showcase this game during the Harvest Festival 🌾 at Apple Developer Academy | Indonesia.

I'd like to extend a huge shoutout to our Game Designer, Fransiskus Anggara who designed the overall game flow of the game, and our 3D Designer, Glenn Reinard Stanis for delivering the wonderful 3D assets. Cheers to all the mentors and everyone else who contributed to the development of the game. 🥂
